Alterr Ego

Amazing huh?

If you love my previous post, you will also love this one! This is my friends Aaron's and Emma's online shop Alterr Ego. The pair have a keen eye for vintage 90's sportswear and aim to bring you their freshest finds! The best thing about Alterr Ego is the fact that everything is unique and it is gonna be pretty hard to find anyone wearing the same as you! However, the bad thing about this site is how it's impossible to go on and buy just one thing - luckily everything is very reasonably priced! So, if you like the look of these pics I suggest you check out Alterr Ego and keep checking it out as they get fresh stock in very often!

Whoops!

So I was very naughty and bored last night and went online shopping (this has a huge amount to do with my loan coming through and feeling down with the post-holiday blues!). I bought a fair amount of stuff, and really had to stop once I hit H&M (Fashion against Aids collection is ridiculous  - see in my previous post) otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford my rent! So I narrowed it down to these 9 things - the bag I bought in America but it fits the mood of this collection of clothes. I'm obsessed with the jewellery right now. I usually always wear the same three rings, 2 bracelets and a couple of necklaces but I thought I would mix it up a bit. Love the fact that massive, bold, statement jewellery is everywhere this season! The more the better, from 5-in-1 necklaces beaded and studded and jewelled chokers to connecting rings&bracelets. I couldn't resist the studded bracelets and drop down necklaces - I wear silver and gold so it was just an excuse to buy more ;)! Oh and I know it is like nearly May and I should be buying vests and sunglasses but it's still so rainy and cold that I bought two jumpers and some big, chunky, flatform boots instead - more practical if you ask me. And the beanie - I don't have it yet but I am determined to get it from somewhere. Didn't want to get it when all the hype went around it with Rihanna and Rita Ora wearing it so I waited a little. So here are my latest buys, as soon as they are delivered I will take photos with them all on.

I Love Flatform's

They are the best inventions for short people like me. I need to wear some sort of heel to allow me to feel like I'm a normal-ish height but I HATE the aches and pains you get from wearing heels all day. That's why I live in my flatforms - height but I can wear them all day! Plus they are pretty amazing to look at. I love the sandal and boot flatforms but Office have even reintroduced BUFFALO's - Can anyone remember those? I used to have 2 pairs and think they were the coolest things ever. Flatforms are back and in their biggest form.

Nasty Gal

I love http://www.nastygal.com and if I had a whole bunch of money, I would probably spend the majority of it on this website! Now, I know it that spring and summer are approaching fast, but I can't shake my need for the colour black. I attempted to  make my wardrobe much more 'spring friendly' with bright colours and prints (the pastel trend was just a step to much for me!), however I always find myself going back to my favourite black jeans/trousers/shorts/top/shoes - get the idea? Luckily, the wonderful people at Nasty Gal have offered a solution too this predicament, allowing me to wear black clothes, but with a summer edge. Here are some of my absolute favourite pieces.

Draw In Light

After coming across Draw In Light on www.youngbritishdesigners.co.uk I have fallen head over heels in love with not only their clothing but everything they are about. The designers behind Draw In Light are Harriet Barford and Polly Wilkinson who have known each other for 25 years. The two extremely talented young women , who are based in London, design and make easy-wear, hand-printed garments. Each piece is  unique and hand-made in the UK, making it feel extra special. After getting noticed at Liberty’s Best of British Design Open Day initiative, they have enjoyed a slow-but-steady climb to the top, which recently culminated in a beautiful life drawing presentation at London Fashion Week.

“As with all our collections, there is always a natural element, a scientific element, a spiritual element and the process of silkscreen printing” – Harry & Polly
Their collections are effortlessly beautiful, combining simple shapes with gorgeous textures and patterns. I am absolutely certain there will be a lot more coming from Draw In Light – this is only the start.

Acne Shoes

Nobody wants acne, but everyone wants their shoes. The beautifully distorted shoes push the boundaries of how a 'normal' shoe should look and it works so well. The finishing products...
